Code of Conduct
The DMV (D.C.-Maryland-Virginia) Keyboard Meet is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual or violent imagery, as well as sexual or violent language, is not appropriate for any meetup venue, including talks.
Two keyboard per person may be displayed (Bring as many as you’d like, and so long as we don’t have space constraints, DISPLAY THEM! But if it gets crowded, put all but two away.)
Refrain from touching others’ keyboards without their permission.
Wash your hands both after using the restroom and after eating. Do not eat or drink in the room where the keyboards are displayed (i.e. the main room). This is of special concern since we’ll be offering complimentary pizza. Be extra careful with the pizza and other food/drink.
Conference participants violating these rules will be asked to leave at the discretion of the organizers, hosts, or administrators, and risk not being allowed back at future DMV Keyboard Meets.
Very obviously, if you break city or federal law, we will both permanently ban you from all DMV Keyboard Meets and call the police.
You may enter the meet up only if you sign and date the sign-up sheet, indicating that you agree to the code of conduct outlined here.
